Shaping the Future of Monitoring Environmental Compliance in Construction
AEnvCoW’s 2025–2028 Strategy sets a clear direction for strengthening the Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) role and improving environmental compliance across the development and construction industries. Informed by consultation with our stakeholders and members, it outlines how we will progress some of the most pressing challenges with environmental compliance.
Our Strategy is structured around four core aims:
- Promoting consistency in the EnvCoW role.
- Raising professional standards.
- Developing training, skills, and research.
- Providing community support for members.
These aims are underpinned by a detailed Action Plan that sets out clear objectives, assigns responsibilities, and timelines to drive delivery and track progress.
Together, the Strategy and Action Plan provide the structure, focus, and momentum to support the EnvCoW role – and protect the environment through a period of rapid industry change.
