Message from the Chair

As the year draws to a close, I am delighted to reflect on the tangible progress AEnvCoW has made in our key strategic areas, thanks to the hard work of our volunteers. Here are some highlights from 2024:

  • Developing Quality & Training Sub-committee:
Our Introductory EnvCoW Course ran in February and will return again next February. We also hosted webinars during the summer, with the final session on cable construction rescheduled for 20th January 2025. Don't forget – Members have exclusive access to four years of webinar recordings available online. Looking ahead, we are currently busy engaging with a training provider to endorse their EnvCoW course, and preparing for our Annual Conference in Manchester on 6th March – kindly sponsored by Siltbuster. We are currently offering 20% off tickets if booked by 25/12.

As we continue to grow, we are now seeking applicants for a part time freelance secretary role and developing a Funding Strategy to support our next strategic cycle. Huge thanks to our volunteers, especially Simon Knott and Lucy Sumner, for their exceptional contributions. Also, a big thank you to our corporate sponsor, Binnies, for their ongoing support.

Lastly, with our transition to a Delivery Team and Advisory Panel, we’re looking for passionate individuals to join us – email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you’re interested!

Wishing you a joyful Christmas, and we look forward to working with you in 2025.

Best wishes,
Rebecca Passmore
